Director Quality and Safety
Air Commodore Ramamoorthy, Vijay Kumar YSM (Retd) brings with himself an experience of over five decades in aviation. He is a qualified flying instructor from the Indian Air Force and a paratrooper. He has carried out flight instruction on almost all categories of Single and Multi-engine aircraft including four-engine turboprops and four-engine passenger jets. The types of aircraft flown include Dakota DC 3, Packet C-119G, Dornier 228, Avro 748, An-32, An 12, and IL -76. Single engine jets HJT 16 and MiG 21, and Alouette II and III helicopters; basic trainers include HT 2, T6G Texan, Siai Marchetti Warrior, HPT 32, Cessna 152, Pushpak, Piper Warrior, and Diamond DA 40 and DA 42.
As an instructor, he has carried out ground and flying instruction at various Flying Organizations in India, Singapore (Republic of Singapore Air Force), and Malaysia (Malaysian Flying Academy and Asia Pacific Flight Training). He has flown extensively over Europe, North Africa, India, Sri Lanka, and Southeast Asia. Till date he has conducted the training of several hundred pilots who are (or were) senior officers in the Indian Armed Forces, Republic of Singapore Air Forces; and senior pilots in many Indian and foreign airlines (Indigo, Spicejet, Air Asia, Malaysian Airline, Yemen, Nepal, and Indonesia).
He has been instrumental in setting up and heading 03 flight schools across the world.
He would be Leading as the Director of Quality and Safety with additional responsibilities of the Chief Ground Instructor.
