Integrated ATPL & Cadet Pilot Program – Canada
HATS (India) and AEROCADET (USA) have worked out one of the quickest and most affordable cadet pilot programs specially designed for Indian candidates. This is also the first program to be introduced in India which provides an opportunity to not only achieve a dual Commercial Pilot License (CPL) but also an Airline Transport Pilot License(ATPL) from Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) and Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
The total duration of the ground training, flight training, and the initial flight instructor internship are approximately 3 years.
All stages of flight training are conducted in Canada to a very high standard by an accredited flight academy. After the completion of the flight training phase, all students will be offered an opportunity to apply for the internship phase in order to work as flight instructors, which, in turn, will give them an opportunity to build additional flight time.
After pilots achieve 1500 hours of total flight time, students will be able to obtain their Transport Canada (ICAO-Canada) ATPL and apply for either airline pilot or ferry pilot internships. At the last stage, graduates will be provided assistance in airline employment placement by our company with airlines such as Air India, Fly Dubai, Emirates, Qatar, Cathay Pacific, Air Asia, Lion Air, Singapore Airlines, Air China, Chinese Airlines, Air Hong Kong, Malaysian Airlines, Jet Star, Tiger Air and many more.

2. CPL and CFI Training
Upon clearing DGCA examinations, the candidate will receive a Canadian Student Visa. The total duration of the flight training and the initial flight instructor internship is approximately 3.5 years. All stages of flight training are conducted in Canada maintaining the same high standards exclusive to HATS by an accredited flight academy. After the completion of the flight training phase, all students will be offered an opportunity to apply for an internship as flight instructors, which, in turn, will give them an opportunity to build additional flight time.
Students will progress from zero experience level to CAA (ICAO-Canada) Private, Commercial, and Flight Instructor licenses. All licenses will have Instrument and Multi-Engine ratings. Training will be conducted by Toronto Airways Canadian Flight Academy.
Note: Students are required to convert the Canadian CPL to DGCA CPL. Candidates can do so at any given point after acquiring the Canadian CPL.
3. Flight Instructor Internship
As a fully qualified Transport Canada (ICAO) Flight Instructor, the student will be offered the opportunity to apply for an internship as a Flight Instructor with a Canadian FTP under the Intern Abroad Program. As a Flight Instructor, students can gain approximately 1500 hours of flight time. Consecutively, Flight Instructors will be issued a work permit as per the C-43 Provision upon fulfilling either one of the following criteria:
• Flying academy and successfully obtained a Canadian CPL.
• The applicant is in the process of obtaining or has obtained an Instructor rating and has been offered employment as a Flight Instructor from a flying training school.
Applicants while awaiting work permit approval are permitted to work full time (i.e. more than 30 hours a week) under the separate provision.
In the rare event that a student does not fulfill the required minimum academic performance standards, or violates minimum safety standards, the student will skip stages 4 & 5, and proceed directly to stage 6B.
5A. Canadian ATPL
Aerocadet will provide students with the necessary opportunity to fulfill the criteria for obtaining a full Canadian (ICAO) ATPL. Following are the criteria:

5B. Indian ATPL
Upon reaching this stage, students have the option of converting their Canadian license to an Indian flying license. The conversion process becomes much easier for students who have already attended Ground Classes with Hercules Aviation Training School (HATS). The student is required to clear DGCA ATPL theoretical exams in order to convert the TC ATPL to DGCA ATPL.
5. 6A. Airline Pilot Internship
Under the Canadian Experience Class immigration program, Qualified pilots will be given the opportunity to obtain employment permits in Canada and apply for employment as First Officers in regional Canadian Airlines, like Jazz and Westjet. As the required documentation is minimal, Canadian Experience Class applications are processed quickly, often within three to four months.
6B. International Ferry Pilot Internship
In the unlikely event that a student fails to obtain a work permit in Canada, employment is offered with our Honk Kong partner Global Air Holdings as an international ferry pilot. As a charter pilot, the position requires repositioning 1-2 aircraft flights per month from various destinations around the world to the United States using the D-type crew visa. The company will provide all the necessary training and visa support. Applicants will be able to build over 500 hours of valuable international cross-country flight time on various types of light piston and turbine aircraft with MTOW below 5700kg.
